Learn the basics of winter pruning for fruit trees in this hands-on workshop.
Topics include:
● Objectives of winter pruning, healthy pruning practices, and orchard ecology
● Optimal structure for different fruit tree types: “central leader,” “open center,” and “modified leader”
● Types of cuts and when to make them
● Growth habits and how to manage them
● How to identify fruit wood, manage fruit quality, and improve yield
● Tools, tips, and tricks
A limited number of scholarships are available for each course. Email foothillorchardcare@gmail.com to request a scholarship. Please include why you need a assistance (ex: student, single parent, etc.) and which course you would like to attend and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Refunds & Cancellations:
Cancellations 72 hours before the workshop will be refunded in full.
If the workshop needs to be cancelled due to weather, we will notify you at least 72 hours before and provide a refund.
